MRS is the grant for getting your product market-ready and in front of more buyers. It covers marketing, packaging and design, quality assurance, building an e-catalogue, getting a barcode, branding work, market compliance and listing on international platforms. It also funds protecting your brand through trademarks, patents and other intellectual property.

The grant pays 80% of the approved cost, with category caps of Rs 50,000, Rs 130,000, Rs 200,000 and Rs 250,000 depending on the size of your project. You contribute the remaining 20%.

To qualify you need a registered SME with a valid trade licence, at least 51% Mauritian-national shareholding, turnover under Rs 100M, and to be CSG-compliant. This is a strong fit if you are trying to break into new or export markets.
