BTS is the grant to use when the work is about how your business runs rather than buying kit. Think hiring a consultant to restructure the company, lean management to cut waste, mentoring, productivity projects, business-process re-engineering, change management, or getting your compliance and governance in order.
The grant pays 80% of the approved cost, with the same category caps as the other SME Mauritius schemes: Rs 50,000, Rs 130,000, Rs 200,000 and Rs 250,000 depending on project size. You fund the remaining 20% yourself.
To qualify you need a registered SME with a valid trade licence, at least 51% Mauritian-national shareholding, turnover under Rs 100M, and to be CSG-compliant. Pure trading, real estate, rental and e-commerce businesses are excluded from this scheme.

Watch out for this
Watch out for the exclusions. If your core activity is trading, rental or e-commerce you will not qualify here, so check that your project genuinely fits the transformation theme before you spend time applying.
